It Was Only 2005 At the Time When...
...Michelle Wie was just about to turn sixteen; But she decided to take a life changing choice.
She chose to become a professional golfer in 2005. With her sponsors, Nike and Sony, she was ready to take this opportunity. So, she became a professional a few days before her sixteenth birthday, October 11.
Her first game/tournament she played as a professional was the 2005 LPGA Samsung World Championship. As she played the beginning of the fourth hole, she was suddenly disqualified. That's because she had pulled off a penalty drop, in which she had dropped the ball closer to the hole than it's original spot. It was an act of cheating and she was taken out of the game. As she played at different games and tournaments, she progessed her skills and was soon playing as if she was there since she was born. She's really improved over the years and will continute to along the next few years.
